I do like a good shmup in the privacy of my own home, but having a quick shmup on the way to work is even better, so hurrah to 10Tons who have announced their old skool shoot ’em up, Xenoraid, is coming to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
“Xenoraid has minimal bullet hell traits,” says Jaakko Maaniemi from 10Tons. “We set out to innovate on how we’d get the focus on the act of shooting, and make the game about destroying enemies in a deliberate and effective way. ”
The ship will fire at angles, rather than straight up the screen, and there will also be an overheat function so you cannot just spray bullets across the play area and hope for the best.
Xenoraid will be released this year.
