Gears of War is one of the finer franchises under the Microsoft Studios banner and the upcoming Gears of War 4 release looks to set the bar even higher, with beautifully designed environments and gameplay mechanics which have evolved over the years. Today, Microsoft unveiled the 20 minute prologue which you’ll play through as the game opens.

Gears of War 4 launches worldwide on October 11 on Xbox One and Windows 10. Those that pre-order the game will get the “Brothers to the End” Elite Gear Pack featuring unique character skins such as Old Man Marcus, Zombie Dom, and Tomorrow Anya — plus the entire Xbox 360 Gears of War collection for Xbox One at no additional cost.
