Brand New Fire Emblem Warriors Trailer Drops

During the Fire Emblem Direct, Nintendo revealed the first gameplay footage of Fire Emblem Warriors – the next collaboration between both Nintendo and Koei Tecmo Games after the hugely successful Hyrule Warriors.

First revealed during the Nintendo Switch broadcast all but nearly a week ago, we got our first glimpse of gameplay which shows Chrom from Fire Emblem: Awakening, taking on more than his fair share of soldiers. For these grunts at least, it seems the weapon triangle doesn’t seem to matter a great deal as he’s slicing up guys with axes and lances with the same efficiency.

Nintendo also revealed that not only was a Nintendo Switch version in the works, but also that a version of the game will be released for New 3DS and New 3DS XL. It’s telling that this is not being billed as a title compatible with the standard Nintendo 3DS family, including the 2DS, as it is perhaps in response to the fact that Hyrule Warriors ran poorly on the standard 3DS platforms. From the wording, it seems that both versions will drop at the same time, though only a launch window of Autumn of 2017 has been announced.
