DJ Hero and Guitar Hero Live developer FreeStyleGames are no longer an Activision studio and have been bought by Ubisoft, and will now be known as Ubisoft Leamington.
The studio has been in a state of flux in the past few years with their workforce almost wiped out after DJ Hero was cancelled, before expanding and once again suffering lay-offs after the rebooted Guitar Hero Live failed to live up to sales expectations.
FreeStyle also jobbed on the Call of Duty series and other Activision titles, and will now work closely with Ubisoft Reflections and other studios across the globe on AAA titles. We wish them all the best in their new home.
