The start of 2017 has been so manic, so frantic with game releases that I almost forgot all about Nioh. This game reviewed really very well, catering to fans of the Souls series, but also managing to do its own thing in that space. The lastest update, which went up at the end of last week, adds just a little bit extra to the game, with new sub missions available to those that have reached the final part of the game.
Additionally, without multiplayer in the game, let alone Dark Souls’ particular breed of player versus player combat, Nioh has also received the ability to pause the action. You simply need to press the Options button while in the Status menu and the game will pause, giving you the convenience of being able to put the controller down and not worry about being murdered if you need to nip to the loo, but not letting you simply halt the game at the drop of a hat.
