We might be dabbling with the odd little hint of clement weather in the real world, but Steep’s snowcapped mountains are trapped in an eternal state of wintery weather. Even so, it’s a bit barmy for the game to celebrate ‘Winterfest’ at this time of year, with a brand new DLC pack that was released yesterday.
Forget skis, snowboards, wingsuits and paragliders, Winterfest lets players ride on winter sleds, with the a yeti known as The Beast a new boss character that lives on the mountains. He’ll challenge players to 21 new challenges, whether hunting balloons, evading enemy fire or transforming you into a goat-eating dinosaur. It’s not just the yeti, but there’s also four mini-bosses to best before you can challenge the king of the mountains. Of course, there’s a raft of new costumes as well, whether you want to a banana, a sumo wrestler, wear a swimsuit or play a superhero.
All of this is part of the game’s season pass or available as a standalone DLC purchase. Season pass owners also get an exclusive Snowman costume, the Sasquatch costume, the Dollar Proximity Wingsuit costume, 10,000 Steep credits, and in-game helicopter tickets.
