It was bound to happen at some point but Kirby is coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2018. It’s in the classic style rather than any of the unusual spin-off titles, meaning the gameplay will be familiar to many.
While no real details have been given, there’s a lot we can extrapolate. There seems to be a recruiting mechanic, as well as combining powers to make Kirby have new abilities – similar to that of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. For example, Stone and Ice turn Kirby into an Curling puck.
Much like another announcement, the final name has not been confirmed, so we’ll probably hear more about the new Kirby game soon.
