As we’ve said before, it’s probably time to give For Honor a second chance. Although some of its server woes continue to haunt players, it’s a refreshing take on the fighting game genre and one that deserves more attention.
Ubisoft is keen to thrust its new multiplayer hit under the spotlight, announcing that ranked play and an eSports tournament. Teaming up with ESL, the For Honor Hero Series will kick off this summer on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The best players from around the world will face-off in one-on-one duels at Burbank, California with one champion for each platform taking home their share of the $10,000 pot.
As for ranked play, Ubisoft confirms that it’s coming soon though no date has been specified. Ranked play will cover all modes apart from Skirmish, giving warriors their own spot on the global leader-board with a chance to unlock legendary gear.
