Nioh’s Second DLC Takes William To Osaka Castle’s Winter Siege On 25th July

One of the big successes of the year has been Team Ninja’s take on the Souls-like subgenre with Nioh. A PlayStation exclusive, it’s been a big draw from fans of this genre, and now it’s getting ever-so-slightly bigger with its second DLC pack, which releases on 25th July.

Titled Defiant Honor, it takes players to Osaka Castle, the largest castle of the Sengoku era, featuring the warrior Sanada Yukiomura who serves the Toyotomi clan. As The Toyotomi and Tokugawa clans fight in the Sanada Maru stronghold on Osaka Castle’s outskirts in the middle of winter, William (who fights for the Tokugawa) chases after Maria.

Players will get the new Tonfa weapon, new armour, magic items, guardian spirits and Yokai to fight against. There’s also new difficulty levels and trophies for those who want to up the challenge further.

I reckon most people will just want the cute mask with ears, though.

When it releases on 25th July, Defiant Honor will be available for €9.99 separately or as part of the Nioh season pass.
