It’s a simple fact that everything is made better by being in space. First person shooters? They’re all better when they’re in space (yes, even a WW2 FPS is better in space). Pirates? Obviously space pirates are better. Even dinosaurs? What could be more awesome than space dinosaurs?
And then there’s criminal incarceration. As The Escapists 2 looks to establish, even this is made better in space, with the U.S.S Anomaly a new home for interstellar inmates. There’s robotic guards, robotic guard dogs, a complete lack of privacy, space showers, and even jet packs (another thing that exudes cool).
The Escapists 2 is the sequel to the hit 2014 game from Mouldy Toof and Team17. This follow up looks to expand on that game with an improved art style, ten new prisons (not all of which are in space, but might actually be trains), and drop-in, drop-out online multiplayer.
The Escapists 2 will launch on the 22nd August for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC with a Nintendo Switch release also planned for the future.
