Fact of the day: There are now more people wandering around Eorzea, the setting for Final Fantasy XIV, than there are in Scotland and Wales put together. The game now has over 10 million players and if you fancy giving it a try there is a free trial running which gives you access to all available content up to level 35, and you can create up to eight playable characters.
This month also sees the annual Moonfire Faire season with participating players winning new items including a dyeable Faire version of a popular set of equipment. The season includes many challenges such as “Ultros and his uncontrollable tentacles”, but that sounds like a standard Friday night down in Soho to me.
