Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Releases For PC On 8th March

Console release "will be announced shortly".

One of the better uses of the Warhammer license, Warhammer: Vermintide was a big hit for Fatshark a few years ago, taking players to the end times of the Warhammer world and making them band together for some first person co-op battling through hordes of Skaven. It’s still the end of the world in the sequel, but now you’re having to deal with Chaos as well as big rat things!

Fatshark have announced today that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is coming to PC on 8th March. Though the game is still coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, it looks like console players will have to wait longer, as they will announced a date “shortly”.

Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark, said, “Being passionate fans of the Warhammer IP, we’ve always wanted to create a Warhammer sequel that both stayed true to the beautifully dark atmosphere of the world but also brought new ideas and experiences for players. It’s been years of work but on March 8th we look forward to joining forces with players everywhere to defend Helmgart from evil.”

A beta will precede the game’s release, starting on 28th February for those who pre-order the game, while on console you can sign up for the beta on PlayStation 4 here, and on Xbox One here.
