Even No Man’s Sky Is Getting All Halloween-y Next Week

No Man’s Sky Next gave Hello Games’ ludicrously ambitious space exploration game a real boost when it released earlier this year. Not only was it coming to Xbox One, but it added some of the much requested (and expected) features from the game’s original launch. Little things like multiplayer, you know?

Since then they’ve continued to tweak and add to the game with weekly updates, but the next named update is The Abyss and it’s coming next week. According to Sean Murray, “it focuses on some of the eerier elements of No Man’s Sky, in keeping with the theme of this season.”

If we’d hazard a guess, they’ve got John Carpenter, celebrated director of such films as The Fog and The Thing to come onboard and create a new and synth heavy The Soundtrack for the game. It’s either that or a reference to 1989 water alien classic The Abyss, in which case we can expect to see some in depth underwater exploration.
