After quite a long wait, the co-op hack and slash ’em up of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 on 18th December, just in time for a chaotic, Skaven-infested Christmas.
The game first released for PC back in March, before entering Game Preview on Xbox One in June and getting a full release in July. You can get access to a pre-release beta on PS4 by pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition, but you do have to wonder if it should really need one at this point? It’s almost certainly a bit of a marketing ploy by Fat Shark.
The Ultimate Edition does, at least, bundle together the Shadow over Bögenhafen and Back to Ubersreik DLC, alongside a few cosmetics.
Either way, whether you plum up in advance, or decide to get the game on PC or Xbox One instead (where it’s in Game Pass and currently on sale for Black Friday), it’s a good solid co-op jaunt that we awarded 8/10.
