The venerable RollerCoaster Tycoon series has been through the wringer over the years, but I must admit that RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures for Nintendo Switch doesn’t look half bad. The game is out on 30th November in the UK, 29th November in the EU and with a US release on 13th December.
Update: We initially only had UK specific info.
The game’s development started with controversy, as Atari decided that crowdfunding was needed to get it off the ground – it didn’t, and the project, which it passed the minimum funding level of $10,000 got nowhere near its overall target. Months later and it was given the name RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventure.
Now the game seems ready for release, with a new adventure mode (AKA a campaign), scenarios and an open sandbox. Importantly, it will try to get the best out of the Switch, running at 720p in handheld and 1080p when docked, while also having touchscreen support, which so many games seem to overlook.
