Shenanigans are afoot at Square Enix as they have just trademarked one of their old games, Parasite Eve, in Europe. The RPG title originally launched on PlayStation 1 back in 1998, so what does this sudden renewal mean?
Perhaps it’s a remaster or remake, they seem to fly of the shelves, or maybe Square Enix are rebooting the whole thing and have a brand new game planned. It’s also possible they could just be releasing the old PS1 game again on the PS Store.
The last game in the series, Parasite Eve: The Third Birthday was on PSP way back in 2010, but the original title is loaded on the Japanese version of the PlayStation Classic console.
