Hideo Kojima has got round to watching the Oscar winning animation Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and he seems to have liked it, describing it as “next gen entertainment art”. Check out his tweet below.
Spider- Man: Into the Spider-Verse was great masterpiece! Live action, full CGI, Japanimation, puppet anime, tokusatsu, manga, American comic, graffiti, it carries all the DNA and MEME SCENE, SENSE to make the next gen entertainment art. Good story too! The theme is like TPP+DS? pic.twitter.com/dYTKH1SkPM

It’s the last sentence of his tweet that is causing a buzz, he states the theme of the Spider-Verse movie is “like TPP+DS”, which presumably refer to The Phantom Pain and Death Stranding. Some have suggested that this may main Death Stranding is set over multiple realities, but another theory posted on Reddit seems more likely.
“The theme in question, I assume, may be the new hero (you) taking up the mantle/responsibilities of a hero that died or ‘left’,” posted High_Dephinition. “This was the case for TPP and Spider-Man. Or even the theme that we all are the hero or a hero in some way. Nevertheless interested to see what it may mean for DS.”
Do you have any other theories?
