Activision won’t be on the show floor at E3 2019

Floor plans for this year’s E3 event have revealed that Activision will not have a presence on the show floor. “While we won’t have a traditional space on the show floor, we look forward to participating at E3 across a number of activities,” explained an Activision representative.

Activision have skipped E3 in the past but don’t hold their own presentation, relying instead on Sony and Microsoft to showcase their games. As Sony won’t be at E3 and Call of Duty usually has some sort of PlayStation exclusive deal there’s a chance CoD might skip the event entirely.

Activision’s slate is rather bare which explains why they won’t be on the floor, other than the much rumoured Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 they only have Crash team Racing Nitro Fuelled on the books at present. They will be holding talks with select individuals behind closed doors, but those will probably be for games that will be announced for next gen consoles.

EA are also missing from the show floor this year, but Bethesda, Capcom, 2K, Square Enix, THQ, and Bandai Namco all have areas. Nintendo have two areas in the West hall.

In short, don’t expect much from E3 this year.
