Atlus has announced that the sequel to Citizens of Earth, handily called Citizens of Space, will be releasing on June 18th for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and Steam. This follow up is bigger than the original game in practically every way imaginable. You’d hope so as you’re going to Space. The story goes that you are now Earth’s representative in the Galactic Federation of Planets but before your first assembly planet Earth goes missing. With no Earth there’s no membership and no membership means no ambassadorship. So your mission is to find Earth so you can get your job back. To do this you’re going to need the help of Federation citizens, with 40 of them being recruitable to track down Earth.
The citizens can be recruited at any time with the developer Eden Interactive stating that the management of these citizens has been streamlined compared to the first game so you spend less time micro managing and more time in action. The battle system has also been updated too with mini-games added that test player reflexes which can turn the tide of the battle one way or the other. As Earth isn’t there anymore you’ll be whisked off to other worlds which are also now in danger of disappearing.
Citizens of Space has a $14.99 price tag.
