Do you like mecha? Do you like Gundam? Do you have a PS4? Well, if the answer is yes to all three of those questions then some good news is flying your way. Bandai Namco has confirmed that Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 is going to be released in the West for PS4, and it is expected to release at some point within 2019. Players will be able to create their own characters and pilot their own Gundam suit while fighting in places like Space.
The trailer shows off a lot of mecha fighting with giant swords and giant guns in the desert and in space. There’s also a glimpse of the character creator which does look quite generic in that there are a few presets to choose from, though you’ll likely be able to alternate hair colour and things like that. Let’s just hope Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 fares better than New Gundam Breaker which was panned at review.
Miguel wrote,” I’m truly sorry. From the bottom of my heart, I am. I had wished and wished for years that Bandai Namco would give Gundam fans outside Japan a proper way to experience some of the amazing games they’ve developed in the series. Today, this wish has come true, but like a cursed monkey’s paw, it has come with a terrible price. New Gundam Breaker is available in Europe and America, yes, but it is also terrible. It is not fun to play, look at, or think about.”
