Genshin Impact is an open world RPG heading to PS4 next year

MiHoYo Technology has revealed a new open-world RPG for PS4 and it is called Genshin Impact. The game is set in a fantasy location called Teyvat in players take on the role of a character called The Traveler. This character has woken on the shore of Teyvat and has been separated from their sibling, so one of the main aims will be to find them. Teyvat is a large world though filled with dungeons that have a lot of treasure, encampments to rest in, and towns and villages in which you’ll be able to find both allies and enemies who will get in your way.

The gameplay trailer shows various aspects of the game including battles against creatures with allies. There are over 30 allies that can be recruited to help, but if you do get stuck there is also a multiplayer option so friends can come in and help with those tricky situations. One of the cities is also shown in the footage with it being designated a safe zone for most of the time, but now and again monsters will attack so you will have to defend it. There are a total of seven city-states within the game. MiHoYo is still working on adding new features to the game including player housing and customisation for outfits. Player characters will also be able to control one of seven elemental powers like hydro, pyro, and electro.

Genshin Impact is expected to launch in 2020 for PS4.
