SEGA and Creative Assembly have announced the next entry to the Total War franchise with the reveal of A Total War Saga: Troy. The game is set right back in the Bronze Age and is the furthest back the series has gone in its bloody tour of history. The entire Aegean civilisation is at the mercy of the different factions and heroes that roam the lands from Lemnos to Mount Olympus.
While the stories of Troy are full of myth and legends Total War Saga: Troy aims to try and show what really could have happened so don’t expect many mythical creatures suddenly springing up to fight the Heroes like Achilles and Hector. Players will have the power to change the course of history and stop heroes from falling. Maybe Achilles doesn’t get an arrow to his heel and survives to fight another day and change the fate of the lands. Battle isn’t the only thing in the game with lots of diplomacy, trading, and pleading to the gods to get the result you’d desire.
A Total War Saga: Troy will be released in 2020 on PC.
