The next free games from Epic Games Store have been confirmed

Epic has revealed the next two free titles that will be given away on the Epic Games Store, with account holders being able to redeem Alan Wake’s American Nightmare and Observer. Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is a spin-off that follows on the events of Alan Wake but is not a full sequel, however, it is a standalone title so you won’t need to own Alan Wake to play it though it would probably make more sense if you do.

The second game that will be available for free is Bloober Team’s Observer in which players take on the role of a neural police officer and explore the minds of the people. Tuffcub reviewed Observer when it came out in 2017 and said:

If you don’t like ‘walking sims’ then Observer isn’t going to change your mind, even if it does include some rudimentary detective work. However, if you like to be swept away by a story and pulled in to a world where every door has a new experience behind it, then close the curtains, turn off the lights, crank up the surround sound and immerse yourself in this great cyberpunk horror tale.

You can read the full Observer review here.

Both Alan Wake’s American Nightmare and Observer will be available from October 17th, and will be free for a week.
