Medieval battle royale title RAN: Lost Islands gets a gameplay trailer

Unveiled at Sony’s China Hero Project event earlier this year, RAN: Lost Islands is a medieval battle royale with 100 players fighting for their lives. The game is also coming to PC and it is that version that has a new trailer.

Along with sword combat the game features naval clashes, guns, sea creatures and underwater combat. The game has nine classes from the three factions – The European Empire, Ming Dynasty and Japanese Shogunate, with each class has different combat styles. There also also supernatural artefacts to discover, “the legacy of the ancient gods will significantly empower you to defeat rival players.”

Here is a little more on the game:

In RAN: Lost Islands, mastery of quick action and strategy rules the day as an arsenal of period weapons from different factions, and an exhilarating mix of traditional combat controls and combo techniques add high replay value and depth. This land, air and sea based battle royale brings melee combat to the forefront with an arsenal of up close and personal weaponry combined with massive cannons, ranged weaponry and terrifying underwater combat. Magnificent ancient treasure and legendary artefacts are the reward for those with the combat wisdom and fast reflexes it takes to defeat all combatants. But beware, as you must face not only other players but powerful enemies such as wild scavengers and massive sea creatures

A closed PC beta will be occuring next month and you can sign up for that by heading over to www.playlostislands.com. The game will launch on  Steam Early Access in late 2019, there is no date for the PlayStation 4 version of the game.

However, if you are heading to EGX in London over the next four days you can get your hands on the game before anyone else, you can find RAN: Lost Islands, near the entrance of the Rezzed area.
