Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s Winds of Magic expansion was released back in August on PC, with a simultaneous release on console being the aim for developer Fatshark this winter. PS4 players will instead have to bear with the fact that there has been a delay announced. In a post on the official site Fatshark stated more time was need to polish the Winds of Magic content for PS4.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 – Winds of Magic will release on PlayStation 4 in January 2020. We were aiming to release on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One simultaneously, but the PlayStation 4 version needs a little more love and polish before release. We are grateful for your patience and understanding.
Meanwhile waiting you can play the Anniversary event, and enjoy Double XP until the release of Winds of Magic.
Regarding the PS4 anniversary event that will run from today until January 2nd where players can be play on the limited time map ‘A Quiet Drink’ to earn anniversary portrait frames. The double XP modifier is also live today and will remain in place until Winds of Magic is available on PS4. In our review of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Stefan wrote:
Vermintide 2’s co-op battling is nice step forward over the original. It’s gruelling at times, and that can sap the fun out when you’re failing missions and not making progress, with the weighty combat, the additional sub-classes and a long and deep progression of difficulty and loot, there’s plenty here for those that want to be in for the long haul.
