Dirt Rally 2.0 Game of the Year Edition out later this month

Easily one of the best rallying games ever created, Dirt Rally 2.0 is getting a Game fo the Year edition, coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 27th March. It comes hot on the heels of the Colin McRae themed Flat Out DLC, out on 24th March, which is bundled into the package.

It’s a pretty classic GOTY, with the main game and all the DLC up to this point bundled in. There’s four seasons of additions with a bunch of new vehicles, new and revitalised locations and liveries, as well as the new Colin McRae DLC that commemorate’s the rallying legend’s career. That DLC is also free to anyone who’s picked up the original Deluxe Edition of the game or a full Season pack, but can be picked up separately as well.

All of that content adds up to 81 cars and 26 locations, with both point to point rally championships and the Official FIA Rallycross Championship, taking place on mixed surface circuits with six cars vying for the win across several laps.

Ross Gowing, DiRT Rally 2.0 Game Director at Codemasters said, “After twelve months of working with our community and improving DiRT Rally 2.0, it’s great to have one complete package for both existing fans and new players to the franchise. Adding the Colin McRae Flat Out pack is the icing on the cake and the perfect way for the team to close the DiRT Rally 2.0 chapter and focus on the future of rally.”

In our Dirt Rally 2.0 review, Dom glowingly said:

Just as Codemaster’s competitors were starting to creep towards the digital rallying crown, Dirt Rally 2.0 puts them firmly back in the rear-view mirror. Utterly convincing, enthralling and punishing, Dirt Rally 2 is an exquisite racing sim.

Let’s just say that there’s good reason why it’s been nominated for a BAFTA award and it’s practically essential for any rally heads.
