Blizzard has begun the Overwatch Archives event where players can partake in story-based co-op missions that explore the organisation’s past. They will all have their own challenges too that reward player with skins and icons. The first weekly mission is called Overwatch Uprising and in it players take on the roles of either Tracer, Torbjörn, Reinhardt, or Mercy to stop an uprising by Null Sector in King’s Row. The modified challenge missions include dead enemies dropping lava and players having weaker defence in exchange for more damage power.
The second weekly mission is called Overwatch Retribution with the playable characters being McCree, Moira, Genji, or Reyes (aka Reaper). Here, Blackwatch goes after Talon to secure a high priority target after an Overwatch facility is attacked. The challenge missions include Surgical Strike where only critical hits count as damage and Close Quarters where a player has to be near an enemy to kill them.
The third and final weekly mission is Storm Rising where players can select Tracer, Genji, Winston, or Mercy. The location is Havana and the mission is to go after Maximilien who runs the finances of Talon. The two challenge missions here are Blood Moon Rising where there are no support heroes and healing can only be done through dealing damage. The second challenge mission is Storm Raging where enemies are enraged and when killed that rage spreads.
There are separate weekly challenges going on too for Quick Play, Competitive Play, and Arcade where additional sprays, icons, and skins can be unlocked, The week one challenges and rewards are:

- WIN 9 GAMES: Holi Symmetra Epic Skin
The week two challenges and rewards are:
- WIN 3 GAMES: Rustclad Torbjörn Player Icon

- WIN 9 GAMES: Rustclad Torbjörn Epic Skin
The week three challenges and rewards are:
- WIN 3 GAMES: Snowbear Icon
- WIN 6 GAMES: Bear Hug Spray
- WIN 9 GAMES: Bear Mei Epic Skin
Overwatch’s Archives event will be running until April 2nd.
