Giraffe and Annika is a musical adventure heading to PS4 and Switch in August

NIS America has revealed a brand new adventure called Giraffe and Annika for PS4 and Switch. The game appears to be an open world adventure in which players take on the role of Annika as she attempts to get her lost memories back. To do this she needs the help of a boy called Giraffe and a witch called Lily, who seem to know Annika already. To mark the announcement NIS America released a trailer that you can watch below.

The trailer shows Annika meeting Giraffe and Lily, exploring the island of Spica where she runs into different characters, and engaging in some rhythm based combat. The full blurb of Giraffe and Annika can be read below.

A magical, mystery-filled adventure awaits! When a young girl named Annika awakens from a strange dream, she finds herself stranded on the mysterious “Spica Island” with no memory of how she got there. Upon exploring, she meets a boy named Giraffe, who seems to know her, and is tasked with finding three special star fragments on the island in order to unravel the mysteries of her forgotten memories. While searching for the fragments, Annika meets Lily, the Witch of the Mysterious Forest, who challenges her to a battle! Fortunately, Annika emerges victorious, and uncovers a star fragment. She absorbs the fragment and is suddenly granted remarkable visions. What secrets await this unlikely trio of adventurers on the island of Spica?

There will be a physical release for Giraffe and Annika which is called the Musical Mayhem edition. This edition will include the game, Songs of Spica Official Soundtrack, Annika’s Adventure Log Art Book, Familiar Faces Patch Set, and a Collector’s Box.

The release dates for Giraffe and Annika are August 25th in North America, while Europe has to wait until August 28th, and Oceania has to wait until September 4th.
