Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos releases in summer for Switch

Publisher Team17 and developer Heliocentric Studios have revealed that procedurally generated dungeon crawler Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos will be released this summer on Nintendo Switch, with a PC release also expected. The game allows up to four players to work together to clear out dungeons which will be different each time due to the nature of the game. As players explore and clear out the multi-level dungeons they will be rewarded and these rewards can be used to unlock weapons and abilities, as well as build up the village of Intori.

Chris Coales, Producer, Team17, said:
“We’re very happy that Nintendo Switch players will be able to enjoy the roguelite adventure of Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos! Working with Heliocentric Studios on the game continues to be a lot of fun, and we can’t wait to hear what players think later in the year, once they get their hands on the full release and see all of the secrets that Tasos has to offer.”
Joshua Gump, Co-Founder of Heliocentric Studios, also had a few words to say:
“Developing Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos for Nintendo Switch as well as PC seemed like a no-brainer for the studio, especially given its classically nostalgic visual style and gameplay. We’re sure Nintendo fans will enjoy the roguelike adventuring that the game brings to Switch, whether they’re playing solo or with friends, as they work to uncover treasures, defeat enemies, and become legendary heroes of Tasos!”
The main key features of Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos include:
  • Roguelite dungeon-crawling: Take on procedurally generated dungeons packed with a variety of monsters, earning gems to spend on upgrades to get further in the next run
  • Adventure together or alone: Up to four players can explore the lands of Tasos and tackle the dungeons, assisting and reviving each other to earn victory together
  • Classic gameplay reinvented: This is top-down adventuring brought into the modern day with colourful visuals and a number of options for combat, puzzle-solving, and exploration
A release date should be coming soon.
