Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath expansion continues the story, Robocop to be a playable character

NetherRealm Studios has announced a new expansion for Mortal Kombat 11 called Aftermath, and it will continue the story on from the end of the main Mortal Kombat 11 campaign. It is paid DLC and within in it players will get access to three more characters as well as new skin packs, along with the story missions. Those three characters are Fujin, Sheeva, and Robocop. The narrative has been described as being focused on the issues of trust and deceit, which I think is a pretty regular theme running through the Mortal Kombat franchise.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will be available on May 26th as a separate purchase from the Kombat Pack season pass. Those who have not got Mortal Kombat 11 can get a bundle containing both the base game and Aftermath. Additionally, free content will also be released for all players and that will include new stages, stage fatalities, and friendships in an update made to support the expansion.

In our review for Mortal Kombat 11, Miguel wrote:

This game is the pinnacle of Mortal Kombat action. Fights are fluid, weighty, and gorgeous to look at. Unfortunately, that tightly-designed gameplay is bogged down by a grindy system of loot and consumables that only serves to artificially extend your playtime in the most tedious ways imaginable. There is so much heart and care put into this game, from the combat to the gorgeous visuals and memorable story, but that effort feels nullified by the desperate attempt to twist an iconic video game franchise into just another endlessly online service game.
