Illfonic has released the first details regarding the DLC for Predator: Hunting Grounds, and they are coming out swinging. The first paid DLC character is going to be Dutch, the main character from the original Predator as played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the actor did reprise his role to lend his voice to the character in game. Along with Dutch the paid content will also include early access to Dutch’s knife and the QR5 “Hammerhead” Rifle. Both of those will be available for free to all players in June. There will be free content alongside the Dutch DLC this month and those are a series of tapes that chart Dutch’s story since the original film. All the DLC will be available from May 26th.
May kicks off the DLC season for Predator: Hunting Grounds. There will be paid DLC and free DLC released in June, July, and August. However, it will not stop there as Illfonic will be releasing more content. That includes new game modes and weapons. Dutch also marks the first character pack and it is likely there will be more of those down the line too.
In our review for Predator: Hunting Grounds, Jim wrote:
If the slightly rugged gameplay does click for you, you’ll soon settle into a groove as you tick off mission objectives while scanning the trees and listening for the Predator’s distinctive audio cues. It can start to feel repetitive, but there’s definitely some lasting appeal the more you experiment with playstyles and tactics. Predator: Hunting Grounds is a decent multiplayer romp with just enough content and ideas to make it worthwhile. It’s a huge improvement over Ifflonic’s last game, Dead Alliance, and one that’s definitely pumped up thanks to having a popular license to lean on.
