Koei Tecmo has released almost 25 minutes worth of gameplay for the upcoming JRPG Fairy Tail, and the video focuses on two areas. The first of those areas is the capital city of Crocus where players can wander around, pick up quests, get gear, and just generally explore as part of the Kingdom of Flore. The other part of the video is about the magic games gameplay and how players will navigate that system through Fairy Tail’s menus.
Fairy Tail was recently delayed until July due to the impact of COVID-19. Developer Gust released a statement about the delay and in it said:
Due to the ever-changing world disrupted by COVID-19, Koei Tecmo and Gust Studios are pushing back the release of Fairy Tail until July 30th, 2020. The development team is working extremely hard through an unprecedented to deliver the ultimate magical JRPG experience to fans across the world and we appreciate everybody’s patience as we put the final touches on this thrilling adventure.
That was not the first time Fairy Tail had been delayed. The game was originally scheduled to be released in March before getting delayed until June. The game will feature both original and fan favourite episodes to play through as the characters look to improve their guild’s rank. The higher the rank the more challenging the missions it will receive, and the rewards will be better too.
Fairy Tail will release on July 30th for PS4, Switch, and Steam.
