Ubisoft is getting ready to reveal its own foray into the battle royale genre, and it seems that game is called Hyper Scape. While Ubisoft is yet to confirm all details there will be a full reveal on July 2nd through a made up company called Prisma Dimensions, the company that seems to own the Hyper Scape. Going by some screenshots that are making the rounds it seems the setting will be quite futuristic, almost cyberpunk-like.
According to the Prisma Dimensions site the Tuesday reveal will show a game mode called Crowd Rush, set in the neon-lit streets of the virtual city Neo Arcadia.
Prisma Dimensions is thrilled to bring you the first iteration of the Hyper Scape on July 2nd – and with it, the pulse-pounding action of Crown Rush! Get ready to drop into the neon-drenched streets of the world’s premiere virtual city, Neo Arcadia. You’ll want to hit the ground running, as you’ll need every advantage you can find to give yourself a leg up on the competition. Only the best contenders will make it to the final showdown. Will you claim victory, or fall to the perils of the Hyper Scape?
Making Hyper Scape a digital scape in the lore instead of a set location such as found in Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone could give Ubisoft quite a lot of scope. With a digital setting established within the lore Ubisoft can change and create totally different settings away from a city like Neo Arcadia. It will be a free to play title but a launch date or platforms are yet to be confirmed, and it may be that Ubisoft will announce that on July 2nd after showcasing the gameplay of Hyper Scape.
