Carto is a chill adventure game heading to PS4 and PC later this year

Humble Games and Sunhead Games have revealed that the chill adventure game Carto will be released on PS4 and PC later this year. The game was confirmed for Sony’s console during the PlayStation Indies announcement event, and was announced earlier this year for PC. The name Carto refers to the fact that the game is essentially about cartography and a map that can be changed. Players will find different pieces of a map and can rearrange them to find new areas and characters to interact with. The dialogue of Carto has been written by Nick Suttner who has previously worked on Guacamelee! 2, Celeste, and Bloodroots.

As players journey through Carto they will be given tasks to complete by the characters they meet. There should be nothing too strenuous or dangerous with due to the chilled out nature of the game. The game’s full description reads:

Carto is a chill adventure game wrapped around a unique, world-shifting puzzle mechanic. Use this power to explore mysterious lands, help a quirky cast of new friends, and guide Carto on her journey home.

A price for Carto is yet to be confirmed.
