Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars’ latest dev diary focuses on Kingdom mode

Palindrome Interactive and Kalypso Media have released a new dev diary for the upcoming strategy title Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars. This third video explores the game’s Kingdom mode in which you manage the provinces and the Lords. Through Kingdom mode players will have to manage upgrades of the provinces and units, the Lords, giving them access to more resources and abilities, as well as deciding when to go to battle to try and capture more territory. There are four unit types in total which are Tanks, Assassins, Archers, and Warriors. Assassins can flank enemies and dispatch low level units, Archers are weak so need to be protected from enemy units while they fire arrows, Warriors have speed on their side and are more powerful than Assassins, and Tanks are slow but have high levels of health

Lords are much more varied with 24 different class types with each one having its own strengths. There are fighter classes that can be sent to the front lines to fight, or mage classes that have to stay at the back of the battlefield and rain down magic. Players will choose where to recruit units from be it a certain building or a certain part of the world which will impact the type of units you get in the army. Players do not have to play through every battle but instead can autoresolve them after sorting out a strategy, and can instead focus on the economy side to account for losses in those battles.

Palindrome has confirmed it will be monitoring player feedback after launch to find ways to improve the Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars experience. Palindrome Interactive and Kalypso Media has confirmed the 28th of August as the release date for Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars, and the game will be released on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.
