Genshin Impact will soon have an upgraded PS5 release

miHoYo has announced that it will be releasing an upgraded version of Genshin Impact for PS5. The PS5 version will have 4K resolution and upgraded textures as well as much faster loading times than the current versions playable on PS4 and mobile.

Forrest Liu, President of miHoYo, said:

“The PlayStation®5 is an ideal platform to enhance the vast open world featuring in Genshin
Impact, allowing the team to incorporate more thoughts and ideas into the game, both now and in
the future. That’s why we’ve been working to bring the native PlayStation®5 version of the game to our players as soon as we could.”

In terms of game content there will be no difference between the PS5 and other versions of Genshin Impact, with PS4 players able to carry over progress with no loss. Recently, update 1.4 was released for Genshin Impact bringing with it the Windblume Festival. To access the content of Invitation to Windblume players will need to be minimum Adventure Rank 20, and have completed the Song of the Dragon and Freedom questline.

Genshin Impact Paimon voice actor on fandoms and dealing with haters

Genshin Impact was one of our favourite RPGs of 2019 and one that has found a thriving global fanbase. Miguel reviewed the game at launch on PlayStation 4, awarding Genshin Impact an 8 out of 10 – here’s what he had to say:

Genshin Impact needs to be played to be believed. This is an addictive open-world adventure with gorgeous art and unique combat…and it’s free! The character designs are sharp and beautiful, while the pastel-style world itself is full of jaw-dropping colour and natural vistas…and it’s free! Sure, there’s the admittedly stingy gacha system, but if you just want an immersive and peaceful world to climb and fly around in for hours, then Genshin Impact is for you.
