A fan preview event has just ended for Age of Empires IV, with Microsoft confirming new details for the upcoming RTS. The main part of Age of Empires IV that anyone would want to know is what campaigns and factions will be available, with today’s event confirming a few. Age of Empires IV will feature the Normans, the English, the Chinese, the Mongols, and the Delhi Sultanate.
According to the description the Delhi Sultanate has an advantage in research and is a technology based civilisation. And the video does show some War Elephants.
The Norman campaign will be one of the four campaigns that will be playable at launch in Age of Empires IV. In the Norman campaign players will undertake the conquest of England during the early 11th century. The campaign will take place in both Normandy and England.
The Chinese civilisation is a faction that is for those who want to expand their empire quickly. Using the Chinese will give access to large armies that can help take on all threats. Players who want growth may do well to pick the Chinese civilisation if conquest is the order of the day.
Finally, almost six minutes of gameplay was released which shows all different aspects of Age of Empires IV. This begins with establishing a settlement in the Dark Ages with the video showing the English facing off against the Delhi Sultanate. The we move on to the Feudal Age with the Mongols vs Chinese, and afterwards it is the Castle Age where it is one again the English vs the Dehli Sultanate. Then finally it is the Imperial Age with the Chinese vs the Mongols.
And finally, a tease for some Naval warfare.

Age of Empires IV was revealed back in 2017 and it is expected to release later in 2021 for PC via Xbox Game Pass, the Microsoft Store, and Steam.
