Aztech: Forgotten Gods announced for PC and consoles, movie in the works

A brand new action adventure game as been announced by developer Lienzo, and it is called Aztech: Forgotten Gods. The game has been confirmed for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch. While we know the platforms a release date is yet to be confirmed though a release window of autumn 2021 has been given. As you may guess from the title, Aztech: Forgotten Gods delves into the legends of the Aztec gods but in a futuristic setting where the Aztec Empire never fell, but where Ancient Gods wish to wreak havoc and enslave the people.

Here is the full description of the game’s plot:

Aztech Forgotten Gods is the cyber-stone action-adventure following Achtli, a young woman who battles the colossal Forgotten Gods. To uncover the truth behind her far-future Mesoamerican metropolis, she’ll have to turn the Gods’ power against them, as she soars through the city with power and grace using an ancient artifact, remnant of a time long forgotten.
According to Deadline, Aztech: Forgotten Gods already has a movie deal lined up. Apparently, Lienzo Studio has partnered with Impossible Dream Entertainment to bring the game to the silver screen. Apparently,  Yvette Yates Redick and Shaun Redick are attached to produce the movie. Shaun Redick recently produced Get Out and BlackKKKlansman.
