Brand new game developer Waving Bear Studio has announced its first title, and it is a first person shooter featuring teddy bears facing off against evil toys. In the game the mission is to protect the dreams of a little girl called Ellie. To do this her collection of teddys come to life in her dreams, and they fend off nightmares that are disguised as toys so Ellie can get a restful night’s sleep. Waving Bear Studio released a statement saying:
“Stuffed was originally conceived as an 18+ horror shooter but when we took early prototypes to conventions we had queues of younger gamers wanting to play. We realised how few FPS games are accessible to a younger audience, so we redesigned the title from the ground up: taking the mechanics and experiences enjoyed in mature shooters whilst ensuring the content appeals to a wide range of players. We love how, as the title’s grown throughout development, its reach and appeal has crossed so many barriers, whether that’s age, gender, nationality, and many other demographics.”
In Stuffed players will have access to fifteen different weapons including Planky Mc-Bang Bang, Cola Can-non, and Boom Corn. These will help fend off the enemies and the bosses that will sometimes invade. Stuffed will be playable solo, online, and in two player split screen co-op. So far, Stuffed has been confirmed for PC where it will enter Early Access on Steam this Summer. A date for Stuffed’s full release has not been announced.
