Futurlab has confirmed its publishing partner for its unique simulator title PowerWash Simulator, and that publisher is Square Enix. The announcement comes just over a week since PowerWash Simulator was made available on Steam through Early Access. The game was launched on May 19th. In this simulation title players build up a power washing business that allows them to clean up different places, transforming them from run down and dirty to looking good as new.
FuturLab Founder and Creative Director James Marsden said: “Our original vision for POWERWASH SIMULATOR was to expand the game in ways that would appeal to a large audience, with the potential of licensed content. Square Enix Collective is the perfect publishing choice as we share a united vision regarding the future of the game.” Marsden further noted that “the creative opportunities that this collaboration opens up for us is incredible, and we’re delighted to be working with such a renowned publisher.”
Phil Elliott, Head of Square Enix Collective, said: “I knew as soon as I first played a pre-release build of the game, that POWERWASH SIMULATOR would become an incredibly satisfying and addictive – yet oddly soothing – experience! We can’t wait to see what people think of the game and look forward to supporting an ever-expanding experience in the years ahead.”

“With its combination of relaxing gameplay and satisfying upgrades Power Washer Simulator is shaping up to be a real surprise, and it’s great to see how FuturLab has grown the game out from the early demo they released last year. Successfully taking the familiar FPS perspective and marrying it to a novel and original gaming mechanic, this is an experience that offers a relaxing palette cleanser your gaming time needs.”
