GameHunters Studio has announced a new game set in Feudal Japan, and that game is Samurai Simulator. According to GameHunters Studio, Samurai Simulator is an RPG in which players take on the role of a young man who starts on the path of becoming a Samurai. To do this, players will pledge their allegiance to a master from whom they will learn the ways of the Samurai. Players will travel across the land to complete different missions on their path, making choices along the way that will impact relationships and how you will climb up through the clan ranks.
Krzysztof PÅ‚awski, president of GameHunters Studio, said: “A very important aspect of our gameplay will be the ability to lead a squad of samurai, similar to what TaleWorlds Entertainment studio did in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. We want to focus on allowing the player to give orders to individual units, while at the same time faithfully emulate the role of a commander on a battlefield in feudal Japan. We want to approach the subject of sword fighting with realism. All cuts and sword movements will be reproduced with the greatest care. The creators of Ghost of Tsushima did this very well and they are our inspiration in this regard”
Along with joining a master and climbing the ranks, players will also be able to create their own clans to vie for the title of the most powerful clan in their region. Along with running your own clan players will be able to own villages, towns, and cities as their power grows. It seems like an ambitious title from GameHunters Studio. So far, Samurai Simulator has been confirmed for a PC release via Steam, though a release date is yet to be revealed.
