Steam Next Fest is now on, the latest iteration of Valve’s game preview event featuring hundreds of demos for up and coming video games. The twist, as ever, is that these are all time-limited demos. The event is live from today, 16th June, and runs until 22nd June, at which point all of the demos will expire.
So, with so many demos and so little time, how will you know what to play? Well, we can have a look at what’s popular. You can visit Steam to explore the full range of demos, and peruse some of the most downloaded demos ones, which include:
- Naraka: Bladebpoint
- Death Trash
- Swords of Legends Online
- Len’s Island
- Lost Nova
- Carrier Command 2

The list goes on and on and while many of the games are indie titles, there’s also demos for larger games, like WRC 10 and RiMS Racing from Nacon, Ys IC . If you’re looking for something particular though, there’s extensive filters. You can narrow the games by genre and sub-genre, as well as by visual style and viewpoint, themes and moods, and just features and player count.
