Maze Theory has announced that the next Doctor Who game, titled Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality, will be available on September 30th. The platforms confirmed are PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch. both David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker are both representing their takes of the Doctor. It’s not a completely new game but rather a reimagining and expansion of the 2019 game Doctor Who: The Edge of Time which was for VR only.
Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality will have new worlds to adventure on along with new puzzles and gameplay elements for players to experience. While this is The Edge of Time reimagined there is a follow up for players to experience. Daleks, Weeping Angels, and Cybermen are just some of the enemies that will be present in the game, but others will follow though they have not been confirmed yet.
Unfortunately Doctor Who: The Edge of Time was a bit of a dud and scored just 4/10 in our review. “I like Doctor Who a lot. As a TV show it’s got all the best things about good entertainment and genuinely has some incredible storylines and messages. Doctor Who: The Edge of Time is not one of them though,” ,” said Jason in his review. “Between sluggish movement and dull puzzles, I think it’s enough to say that even Jodie Whittaker can’t save this game.”
