The Jungle Book is coming to Fall Guys Season 5, as Mediatonic partner with Disney to bring some rather familiar animal characters to the game.

Four beloved characters have been turned into Fall Guys costumes for players to buy and unlock to really get into the swing of jungle life.

In the case of Mowgli, Shere Khan and Baloo, the three characters will be beaned from 3rd September, with each one unlocked using in-game Kudos. They’ll only be available for a limited time, as follows:

  • Mowgli Costume – 3-6 September
  • Shere Khan Costume – 7-9 September
  • Baloo Costume – 10-12 September

The last costume though? That’s King Louie, and you’ll only be able to unlock him by taking part in King Louie’s Limited Time Event.

During this you’ll take on “regal” challlenges from the character, earning points too unlock the following goodies:

  • ‘Jungle Champion’ Nickname: 200
  • ‘Kaa’ Pattern: 400
  • King Louie Costume (Lower): 800
  • King Louie Costume (Upper): 1100
  • King Louie Nameplate: 1400
  • ‘Jungle Dance’ Emote: 1700

Fall Guys Season 5 kicked off on 20th July, so there’s a fair while for the season to run yet. It arrived with an Indiana Jones vibe, with all the levels are inspired by the films and are full of devious traps including Rhinos that chase the beans across the map. Costumes will include ‘Tropical tree’, ‘Treasure Charter’, ‘Scourge of the Seas’, and the first flying costume, ‘Djinn’. The new rounds are Treetop Tumble, Stompin’ Ground, Lost Temple, Lily Leapers, Bubble Trouble, and Pegwin Pool Party.

Mediatonic recently announced that the Nintendo Switch and Xbox versions of Fall Guys would be delayed, and not be released this summer for those platforms. At the time, Mediatonic wrote:

With so many new opportunities now in our hands, we’ve realised that our previously announced Summer 2021 Switch and Xbox release schedule is unfortunately just too soon for us to include all of the tasty new features we’re working on.

While we want to launch on these platforms as quickly as possible, we believe the Switch and Xbox releases are really going to be worth waiting for and we’re super grateful for your patience. This delay gives our team some time to add features like crossplay, so when we add new platforms, players will be able to stumble in harmony with their pals, regardless of their platform.

Hopefully they’re making good progress on that as well.
