Hot Wheels Unleashed Batman DLC and first season announced

hot wheels unleashed dlc update

Hot Wheels Unleashed is preparing for its first season of free and premium content, Milestone has confirmed.

The racing game studio – best known for its work on MotoGP, RIDE, and Monster Energy Supercross – revealed a surprising slew of content inspired by DC Comics.

Unveiled during the DC Fandome event, there are two Hot Wheels Unleashed crossovers fans can look forward to. First up, we have the game’s first post-launch season which will feature six themed vehicles, all based on familiar DC Comics super villains. These will include:

  • Harley Quinn
  • Black Manta
  • Poison Ivy
  • The Cheetah
  • Bane
  • Deathstroke

The cars will be available to purchase as DLC though there will be challenges to unlock free content for the Basement and your online profile. The DC Super-Villains Racing Season starts on November 11, 2021, and will end on January 18, 2022, giving you plenty of time to check out what’s on offer.

Of course, this wouldn’t be a DC Comics crossover without the caped crusader himself. In additional to the upcoming season, there’s a premium Batman expansion on the way, arriving on December 2nd. It will available to those who already own the Hot Wheel Unleashed season pass or can be purchased individually.

The Dark Knight will take to the track with five new vehicles, including:

  • The Penguin
  • Armoured Batman
  • Robin 2.0T
  • Batman Rebirth
  • The Joker GT

This first Hot Wheels Unleashed DLC will do more than expand your virtual garage. The Batman expansion comes with the Batcave environment, complete with new track parts for you to experiment with for your own custom made circuits.

In our Hot Wheel Unleashed review, Dom was surprised by how much he enjoyed the licensed arcade racer, its vibrant visuals, and comprehensive track building tools:

“Hot Wheels Unleashed puts the brand to perfect use, marrying bright and bold toy car racing with powerful track creation.”
