Rainbow Six Extraction has got a new Operator overview video, and this one focuses on Smoke. Smoke’s main tactical advantage to use against the Archaens is his grenades. One of the grenades is a Z9 remote detonation one which allows you to blow up a target, and deal damage to other enemies nearby with gas. The gas has an additional advantage in that enemies cannot see through it allowing players to adopt a more stealthy approach.
Rainbow Six Extraction was originally known as Rainbow Six Quarantine, and that was revealed back in 2019 with a view for it to be released in 2020. Unsurprisingly, the game was delayed then too. When the game was delayed earlier this year, Ubisoft released a statement that said:
Our ambition with Rainbow Six Extraction is to deliver a full-fledged AAA experience that changes the way you play and think about cooperative games. With unique features like Missing In Action or The Sprawl, every mission is set to be a tense and challenging experience in which you’ll lead the elite operators of Rainbow Six in a fight against a lethal and evolving alien threat. We are embracing the opportunity to take additional time to bring this vision to life in the way it deserves in January 2022. We are confident this will ensure Rainbow Six Extraction is the immersive, cooperative, and thrilling experience we set out to create, and the one you aspire to play.
Rainbow Six Extraction is a PvE experience where teams of three face off against an alien threat known as the Sprawl, in an effort to contain and eradicate it as well as rescue Operators that can then be added to the roster. Rainbow Six Extraction will be available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Luna, and Stadia. The game will be available on January 20th, 2022.
