Rumbleverse will not be released on February 15th

Rumbleverse, Epic’s 40 player brawler royale, will not be released on February 15th. After the initial reveal in December, a first play session was held to get players to test the game. It seems as a result of all the play testing an analysis Epic has decided more time is needed. A statement from Epic about Rumbleverse’s delay has been posted after the trailer.

We want to thank everyone for the enthusiastic reception that Rumbleverse received after our reveal at The Game Awards. During the First Look play session, it was hilarious and inspiring to see people land their first elbow drop from the top of a skyscraper. Those are the moments you dream about when you work on a game. The thing about game development is that plans have a way of changing…

Today, we are announcing that we have decided not to launch Rumbleverse on February 15.

Having Grapital City filled with Rumblers taught us a lot. We’re excited about the game we’re making – and we’re glad you are, too – but there’s more we want to do to perfect the experience. More than a game, Rumbleverse will be a community that we want to support for a long time. We’re going to take the time to make sure we can get that right.

This obviously means that Early Access won’t begin on February 8. If you bought the Early Access Pack, we are working with our platform partners to refund your purchase. We’ll provide another opportunity for you to purchase content for the game once we schedule a new launch date.

Epic has announced that there will be future play test sessions, with the first set to take place on February 12th on PC. If you want to sign up to test out Rumbleverse then you can click through to sign up here.
