New DLC is available for The Elder Scrolls Online, as players embark upon the new Legacy of the Bretons storyline.

Ascending Tide is out now on PC and Mac and will launch on consoles (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S) on March 29, 2022. As with past DLC and expansions, it will unlock as part of your ESO Plus membership, or can be purchased separately for 1,500 Crowns (£8.99). Those wanting to splash out can grab themselves a themed bundle for 4,000 Crowns which includes the new dungeons as well as a mount, pet, and experience scrolls.

This will be the first step on your journey to the High Isle, home of the Bretons, in a year-long adventure Bethesda has planned. Ascending Tide comes in tow with The Elder Scrolls Online update 33, a major patch that packs in new item sets, styles, achievements, game features, and improvements.

About The Elder Scrolls Online Ascending Tide

Experience two new daring adventures with your PvE crew in the Coral Aerie and Shipwright’s Regret. Both four-player dungeons feature unique stand-alone stories while also kicking off your Legacy of the Bretons year-long epic adventure.

Coral Aerie

Invade a secret hideout of the mysterious Ascendant Order and rescue the dashing rogue Jakarn beneath the island home of the High Elves in Coral Aerie. Team up with Captain Kaleen and explore the site’s stunning coral formations and Elven ruins as you battle your way through both the cave’s new residents and monstrous local inhabitants.

Shipwright’s Regret

Believed to be one of the shipyards for the legendary All Flags Navy, the dilapidated docks and rotted work halls of Shipwright’s Regret is now home to the uneasy dead, wrathful spirits, and Dreadsail pirates. Of course, that won’t stop the ever-enterprising Khajiit Captain Za’ji from entering the cursed site in search of upgrades for his beloved ship, the Perfect Pounce!

You can begin your Legacy of the Bretons adventure by the following methods:

  • By teleporting directly into the two dungeons from your map
  • By using the Dungeon Finder tool
  • By walking up to the dungeon entrances within Summerset (Coral Aerie) and Rivenspire (Shipwright’s Regret)

Other highlights for this DLC include 8 new item sets as well as new collectibles, dyes, furnishings, achievements, and titles.

Last year, Bethesda launched a supercharged version of its popular MMORPG for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Among many improvements, this offers 60 FPS, unlocked textures, and increased draw distance.
