Tekken Bloodline is an animated show about Jin Kazama, coming to Netflix this year

Tekken Bloodline has been revealed by Netflix as the first animated show based off of the well known fighting game series, and it is heading to the service later this year. Tekken Bloodline will centre its story on a young Jin Kazama as it follows his relationships with his mother, and grandfather Heihachi. Of course, that is not all with a number of other characters from the Tekken games confirmed to appear, like Paul and Leroy. You can check out the first trailer for the show below.

The synopsis for Tekken Bloodline reads: “Power is everything.” Jin Kazama learned the family self-defense arts, Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Arts, from his mother at an early age. Even so, he was powerless when a monstrous evil suddenly appeared, destroying everything dear to him, changing his life forever. Angry at himself for being unable to stop it, Jin vowed revenge and sought absolute power to exact it. His quest will lead to the ultimate battle on a global stage — The King of Iron Fist Tournament.

Bandai Namco has been supporting Tekken 7 a lot since its release on PC and consoles in 2017 with a number of new characters added across four seasons of content. Lidia Sobieska was the last DLC character made available for the game in March last year, rounding off the content for season four. There is anticipation that Bandai Namco will be announcing Tekken 8 at some point in the near future, but as of yet there has been no official news regarding a follow up.

In our review for Tekken 7, Dave wrote: “Tekken 7 is a phenomenal fighting game experience and one I’d highly recommend. It’s by no means perfect, as the game is not without a few technical issues online, some long loading times, and minor continuity errors, yet as far as most people will be concerned, it delivers a stunning, up-to-date fighting game experience from one of the masters of arcade fighting games. A solid return to form.”
