Disney Dreamlight Valley revealed, will be free to play life sim and adventure title

Disney Dreamlight Valley has been revealed by Disney, and it is being described as a mix of a life sim as well as an adventure title. It is being developed by Gameloft. The game has been confirmed for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Mac, and Switch. It will also be a free to play title. Early Access for Disney Dreamlight Valley begins in summer and will be accessible to those who purchase a founders pack or have a Xbox Game Pass subscription.

The description for the game reads: “Once an idyllic land, Dreamlight Valley was a place where Disney and Pixar characters lived in harmony—until the Forgetting. Night Thorns grew across the land and severed the wonderful memories tied to this magical place. With nowhere else to go, the hopeless inhabitants of Dreamlight Valley retreated behind locked doors in the Dream Castle. Now it’s up to you to discover the stories of this world and bring the magic back to Dreamlight Valley!”

The trailer for the Disney Dreamlight Valley shows a look at what player customisation will be available with a mix of styles available. Player homes will also be customisable so you can add your own flair to your little base. The world will be explorable with quests taking you to all kinds of areas including the setting of Moana and The Little Mermaid.

The founders pack will grant exclusive cosmetics and in game currency to those who purchase it. Expansion options will be available once Disney Dreamlight Valley launches in 2023. The price of a founders pack is yet to be confirmed. It has also been confirmed that the game will not require an online connection, with it only needed to activate the game once downloaded. The following languages will be supported in game: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.
